Killarney is just one Municipal District in the county that is putting out a great programme of free creative opportunities for teenagers and children as part of Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 15th June next.

In Castleisland an Irish Legends Storytelling Workshop (suitable for ages 8 – 12) will take place in the library from 11am – 12.15pm and will retell the story of the Salmon of Knowledge and Setanta. The workshop will include paper weaving techniques as well as hand puppetry and can be booked by email to castleislandlibrary@kerrylibrary.ie .

“Cruinniu na nÓg is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to get out and about and enjoy a creative experience, improving their skills and making new pals along the way”, stated Kate Kennelly, the Creative Ireland Co-ordinator and Arts Officer at Kerry County Council.

All events for Kerry are listed on http://www.kerrycoco.ie/arts/ where you can view or download the programme. Some workshops must be booked in advance. Events for Kerry are also listed on the national website https://cruinniu.creativeireland.gov.ie/
