Kerry politicians attend Failte Ireland clinic

Kerry TDs Michael Healy Rae, Danny Healy Rae, John Brassil and Senator Mark Daly this week attended Fáilte Ireland’s Oireachtas Information Clinic at Buswells Hotel, Dublin.  The members of the Oireachtas were there to hear first-hand about the work Fáilte Ireland teams are doing on the ground in Kerry to highlight the economic value and importance of tourism to the national economy, to grow visitor numbers, increase tourism revenue and to support jobs across the constituency and region.

The National Tourism Development Authority provided the members of the Oireachtas with a direct and comprehensive update on Kerry, detailing the work that Fáilte Ireland does on the ground and the many social and economic benefits that this work brings to their respective area and region. County specific details on Fáilte Ireland’s grant programmes, business supports, festival plans, training initiatives and future investments in visitor attractions and tourism businesses across Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way were provided.

Well known hotelier Francis Brennan, who is also an Authority board member of Failte Ireland, was on hand to meet with the TDs and Senators.

Central to the Information Clinic were newly created and comprehensive county-by-county updates which highlight Fáilte Ireland’s ongoing work and future opportunities on a county level.
