Ciara will answer Ireland’s call again

Ciara Griffin will lead Ireland out this evening against England at Donnybrook in the Women’s Six Nations Championship opener.

The game, which is available live on Sky Sports Mix and RTÉ at 5pm, sees Griffin resume her role as Irish captain as she returns to the back row with little doubt of the obstacle that lies in store.

Speaking to the media Griffin said, “You could see it is a tough start, England are a great team to play against and the fact that we’re at home is an added bonus. You love a challenge, so we are all looking forward to it; all focused on the first of February at 5pm. We’re looking forward to kicking off the Six Nations at home.”

No doubt, locals will be keeping an eye on the popular Ballymac player and indeed will have plenty to talk about ahead of the clubs BBQ fundraiser, which takes place on Saturday (2pm).

The event, which starts at 4pm, will also have a viewing of the Ireland v England Six Nations game. There is also a chance to win some great spot prizes with tickets on sale €10 per person.
